This November, we're telling stories.

Everyone has a story of generosity to tell. Maybe you've experienced it firsthand in your hour of need. Maybe you were given the opportunity to be generous to someone else. Maybe you've been a witness to a situation of generosity. Or maybe you're still waiting for God to show up in your story.

This month, we are taking a look at a few ministries we support, the stories we've been able to witness because of their impact, and we're asking God for direction on how he wants us to step in and be part of the story.

Each Sunday we will feature a specific ministry and a few ways for you to participate. Check out the Blessed to Bless timeline below and be praying for guidance on how God might want you to respond.

November 1: Operation Christmas Child

Operation Christmas Child brings gifts to children all over the world and gives them the opportunity to hear about the Gospel, many for the first time. Grab a box in the lobby, pack it, and bring it back by November 15 to participate.

Check out this video of our own Flower Sisters and their involvement with OCC!
Find more info about how to pack an OCC box here.

November 8: Holiday Central

Holiday Central is a community-based partnership that provides Christmas assistance for those in need right here in the Mount Vernon, MO area. Take a tag from the tree and help bless a local family this Christmas. Return gifts by November 30.

Check out this podcast episode with Brandy Jameson who works closely with Holiday Central.

November 15: Camp Cyokamo

Camp Cyokamo is a monthly ministry partner that helps our kids encounter Jesus each summer. We want to give back by investing in their space! We’re raising $2,000 for paint and supplies to refresh the camp. Mark your calendar for April 18 and join us as we put that paint to use!

Check out this video from Camp Cyokamo about their mission of creating space to help kids encounter Jesus.

November 22: NextGen Asia (Doug & Noi Welch)

God has opened the door for NGA to launch a cafe at their vocational training center, creating more opportunities to share the gospel and disciple young people. Would you give toward our $5,000 goal to outfit the cafe and consider a recurring gift to support NextGen Asia year-round?

Check out this podcast episode with Doug and Noi Welch, our NextGen Asia partners.

November 29: King’s Way Christian Church

There is so much to celebrate at King’s Way, and we’re excited about what God is doing! At the same time, a decrease in giving has left us with a $45,000 gap between giving and expenses.

Generous members of our community have pledged a $40,000 matching gift. Would you consider participating in this matching opportunity as we work together to faithfully steward the ministry God has entrusted to King’s Way?

You can also help provide consistent support for the year ahead by committing to a recurring gift in 2027.

Tell YOUR Story!

Stories have power but only if we share them. Do you have a story of generosity that you'd like to share? Fill out the form below!

Purchase a "Tell the Story" T-Shirt

This shirt is a great way to start a conversation with someone about the generosity you've seen or experienced! Shirts are available for pre-order now until November 15 for $20 each and will be available for pick-up on Sunday, November 27.

Shirts can be paid for with either card or cash. (Online payments take a portion of payments so we want to make sure 100% of the payments made go towards the shirt purchase.)

This Comfort Colors shirt in the color Pepper will be available in kids sizes from Youth Medium up to Adult 3X.

Keep up with our giving progress!

Totals will be updated manually every few days. Please allow 24-48 hours for your gift to show in the progress bar!
