What We're About

Vision & Values

At King’s Way, everything we do is guided by our vision to help people find the full life in Christ. Our values shape who we are as a church and how we live out our mission together. They reflect what matters most to us and remind us to keep love at the core of all we do.

Check out our Values and Beliefs below.

Our Values

We embrace change to reach people for Jesus. The message is timeless but the method has a shelf life.

We are contributors, not consumers. The church does not exist for us, it exists for the world.

We invest in the next generation. Their impact will be greater than our own.

We prioritize and utilize small groups. Life change happens in community.

We will be known by what we are for, not what we are against. Love is at the core of everything we do.

We keep it simple. Our resources, programs, and vision are focused on what we are called to do.

Our Beliefs

We believe in the God of the Bible. He is one, eternal, and the Creator of all things. He exists in three Persons: God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. He is an eternal community of perfect love, setting the standard for all love, holiness, power, and worth.
(Exodus 20:11; Deut. 6:4; Matthew 3:16-17; 28:19; John 1:1-5)

Jesus Christ is the pioneer and perfecter of our faith. We believe that Jesus is the uncreated Son of God the Father, a vital member of the Trinity, and the only one who can reconcile us to the Father. He left the riches of heaven to descend to earth and become an embodied human, lived a sinless and exemplary life, died on the cross in our place, and rose again in victory over sin and death. Jesus’ mission of spreading the good news of His Kingdom to the ends of the earth has been passed on to us. We believe that Jesus Christ is coming back again to set everything right, as he promised.
(John 1:14; Acts 1:1; Phil. 2:6-11; Col. 1:15-17; Hebrews 12:2)

We believe that the Bible is God’s Word–his self-revelation. Its original manuscripts are accurate in what they mean, living and active, authoritative, and useful for training a person to know and imitate Jesus.
(Psalm 119:9-11; 2 Timothy 3:16-17; Hebrews 1:1; 4:12)

We believe that sin has separated each of us from God and the satisfying life of purpose, worship, and love that he prepared for us. According to scripture, sin has power over us like poison or a slavemaster, and it has consequences like rebellion or infidelity. Sin broadens the gap between us and God, and is inescapable without intervention from God.
(Hosea 6:6; John 8:34; Rom. 3:23; 5:12; James 4:17; 1 John 3:4)

We believe that in order to receive forgiveness and a fresh start with God, we must confess and repent of our sins, believe in Jesus, and commit to His rulership over our lives.
(John 3:16-17; Rom. 3:23-24; 6:23; 8:1-4; 1 Cor. 6:8-11; 1 John 1:8-9)

We believe in the power and significance of the Church, which spread to us from Jesus’ original disciples and consists of believers across time and space who have committed to follow Jesus. We believe in the necessity of believers to meet regularly together, because no one can be the Church on their own.
(Rom. 8:14-17; Eph. 1:22-23; 2 Tim. 2:19; Rev. 7:3-17; 14:1)
